Lisa
Bittersweet Violet is the creation of Lisa Costanzo, a seasoned art director and designer with over 35 years in advertising. After a long and successful career, she returned to her first love—art—earning a Fine Arts degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She spent the next chapter painting, drawing, and exhibiting her work, and during that time, discovered a passion for specialty chocolate through local workshops.
What began as homemade treats for loved ones soon evolved into custom confections for her brother’s restaurant, earning rave reviews and inspiring her to share her creations more widely. Lisa went on to graduate with honors from Ecole Chocolat’s Professional Chocolatier Program and continued her education with Melissa Coppel’s Running a Chocolate Production course. She actively refines her craft through ongoing workshops and classes, always exploring new techniques and inspirations.
Most recently, Lisa opened a small chocolate boutique, Bittersweet Violet, where she brings together her background in art, design, and chocolate to create beautifully handcrafted confections.
