Ingredients

At Bittersweet Violet, we are committed to crafting exceptional confections using a range of ethically sourced chocolate and the finest quality ingredients. Whenever possible, we prioritize organic and local sourcing to create high-quality, limited-ingredient delights that blend the essence of tradition with a modern touch.

Our artisanal offerings include hand-painted bonbons, hand-dipped European-style chocolates, and nostalgic old-school confections. We exclusively use Couverture chocolate—a versatile medium known for its various shades, percentages, and fluidity. This exceptional chocolate serves as our canvas for creativity.

Cocoa butter is employed sparingly for painting molds, and we continuously explore natural methods for coloring our chocolates. Each creation is meticulously hand-painted, never airbrushed, ensuring that the pure essence of chocolate takes center stage.

All our creations are meticulously handcrafted without the use of machines or preservatives, a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

Our chocolates are crafted to order with utmost care. We don't resort to freezing batches for holidays or special occasions, as some chocolatiers might. This dedication to maintaining freshness is the reason our products have a shorter shelf life. We do this to guarantee that every bite you savor is at its peak of freshness and flavor, providing you with an exquisite and delectable experience.

These products may contain nuts, soy, milk, egg, and gluten.

All chocolates and confections are hand made in a shared commercial kitchen that may use: milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, and soy.

Do not refrigerate our chocolates; instead, savor them at room temperature. If you have a wine cooler, it makes for an ideal spot to store your confections, ensuring that they retain their optimal flavor and texture. Store in a cool, dry place away from strong odors and direct sunlight (18°C/64°F), as this will help preserve their artisanal quality.

Filled chocolates are best consumed within 14 days of purchase. Caramels, toffee, nougats best consumed within 2-3 months.
